There are definitely days where I feel like I'm running on autopilot, but then one of them looks at me with those big, innocent eyes and I forget all about the stress. They bring so much joy into my life.

Life has been/is/was a whirlwind since the twins arrived. These two little bundles/beans/creatures of energy are running the show now! They sleep/eat/rule whenever they please, and their demands are always/constantly/never-ending. They think diapers are optional/suggestions/for babies who aren't cool enough, and naps? Just kidding.

I swear they spend most of their time plotting. They glare/They whisper/They giggle at each other, then turn those big eyes on me. What are they planning? World domination, probably.

My husband/partner/roommate says we should brace ourselves. I'm just trying to survive/cope/get through the day, one screaming fit/tantrum/meltdown at a time.

Maybe someday they'll be polite/well-behaved/kind. Until then, it's all about survival.
